Allied Universal® is hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting - North America. The Senior Manager of Accounting will be responsible for providing support and oversight to all North American Allied Universal operations. This role will support the month end close and internal control processes for LATAM and US overhead functions. The Director of Accounting will interact with other departments, field personnel, and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide oversight of selected ancillary business unit operations including:
    • Support and resolve issues arising during close
    • Evaluate monthly operating results
    • Provide oversight to B/S reviews
    • Support SOX implementation efforts in ancillary portfolio
  • Support International operations that are on US platforms (i.e., LATAM and Embassy) and intercompany activity with rest of world Provides support to internal/external and client auditors
  • Develop and execute an overhead review process
  • Ensure timely, accurate communication of relevant information to operating components and clients
  • Conducts special accounting projects as requested
  • Enhance existing B/S fluctuation analysis process and support selected month end close package items and other reporting
  • Provide support for selected acquisition transition efforts (TSA execution and true up)

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting/auditing experience
  • Ability to manage and motivate the team through an evolving environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with various levels of management and to influence others without formal authority
  • Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to perform limited travel, as necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • SAP or Oracle Netsuite experience
  • Financial M&A or integration experience
