Allied Universal® is looking to hire a Leadership Development Specialist. The Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for cultivating and maintaining the leadership and professionalism of the RSS personnel at the client site. Duties include the analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of RSS leadership development programs established to improve site personnel performance. Program responsibilities include recruitment, development and evaluation of Security Officers, Supervisors, and RSS management staff and managing post-training assessments to identify impact on personnel and performance to identify training program areas needing improvement. Support New Hire training when needed. Additional duties include performance trending and ensuring corrective actions are systematically initiated, trended, analyzed, and resolved. Perform additional duties assigned by the Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Professional development of nuclear security employees
  • Conduct evaluation and assessment of contract security personnel.
  • Conduct coaching, counseling, and mentoring of RSS personnel to provide career development and contribute to succession planning
  • Drive culture change to embed continuous improvement in human performance, safety, and accountability
  • Participate in decision making for promotion of contract security personnel.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and make recommendations for selection and placement of personnel
  • Support new hire training class activities
  • Make managerial decisions regarding leadership development programs; design, development, implementation, and evaluation of RSS leadership development programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in a nuclear or military setting
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
  • Prior instructional experience
  • Experience in the implementation of training programs
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • Security Computer knowledge and experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) principles
  • Public Speaking
  • Presenting to Executive Level both client and AUS
  • Effective oral and written communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education/Training, Leadership Development, or Business Management
  • Possess knowledge of Code of Federal Regulation requirements, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
  • Prior experience/training in Human Resources and/or employment law
  • Task Performance Evaluation and On the Job Training experience
  • Protective Strategy knowledge
  • Proven background of implementing cultural and process change across enterprise and/or organization in a service-oriented industry
