Job Description: Allied Universal Security Services (Allied) is hiring a District Contract Security Manager (DCSM) to be assigned to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (DKIIA), Honolulu (HNL), Hawaii. The DCSM will report to the Allied Contract Security Manager (CSM- HNL).  

The DCSM is responsible for all Allied security and law enforcement services as directed and delineated in the State of Hawaii Airport security contract. Specific to DKIIA, the DCSM will lead, supervise, mentor, and organize the 7/24/365 airport contract security team for continuing success. This includes the work streams, roles/responsibilities, and the integrated efforts of all Airport Law Enforcement Officers (LEO), Airport Security (ASO) and Traffic Control Officers (TCO) assigned at DKIIA.  

The DCSM will staff, structure, organize and manage the 24/7 DKIIA watch schedule to include adapting operational responses and support plans to meet airport requirements. This includes successfully addressing the goals and expectations across the spectrum of activities that assist in managing and or reducing airport security risks. Such may entail but is not limited to triaging daily and immediate requirements as well as organizing the Allied airport security team for continued strategic success. 

The DCSM will additionally integrate and manage an array of security support services emanating from the airport badging office, watch dispatch office and the airport security CCTV enclave. 

The DCSM will serve as Allied official Signatory for all official representations and related requirements at DKIIA. 

The DCSM will manage efficient and effective delivery of shift/ post coverages and institute processes for continuous compliance reviews, audits and or inspections to ensure TSA and related aviation security regulatory regimes are met. 

The DCSM will manage and assign resources to meet special duty or otherwise ad hoc airport customer security needs as warranted. 

DCSM duties include the management and alignment of work streams with HR, HNL trainers, and supply resources within the airport office. Additionally, the DCSM will ensure resource needs are addressed in a timely fashion to meet equipment and operational maintenance requirements that support the airport work force. 

The DCSM will conduct continuous liaison and keep in close contact with Airport operational leaders and designated risk managers to ensure timely, relevant, and responsive security services. 

The DCSM shall be designated the point of contact for all critical issues, directives and inquiries regarding the security services delivered at the airport and will participate in all proceedings deemed urgent by Airport operational leadership. 

The DCSM must have effective written and oral communications and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with the airport client, regulators, public, airline management, tenants, concessionaires, union, and airport user groups, etc., in a professional manner. 

The DCSM must have seasoned planning and budgeting skills to lead and advance the administrative workstreams in the office. Must also have a strong project management background. 

The DCSM shall be an experienced LEO leader/manager with commensurate skills, knowledge, and former pedigree in leading and supervising a large and diverse staff in the Security and Law Enforcement professional fields.

  • The candidate must successfully pass additional federal and state airport security badging requirements.
  • The candidate will preferably have a BS college degree or as a substitute have equivalent years of job-related experiences and knowledge.
  • Must have excellent process analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience delegating responsibilities, setting timelines and deadlines, and tracking projects and schedules.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb listening, and people skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and performance required in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
